SEO for tradies who want booked jobs, not a traffic graph
A one-off SEO project from $3,500. We research what your customers
actually search, build the pages that answer it, fix what is holding the
site back, and hand the whole lot over. Defined scope, a start and an
end, no monthly retainer.
SEO for tradies is a different job to SEO for everyone else
Most SEO advice is written for businesses selling to the whole country.
A trade business sells to the people inside a driving radius, usually at
the exact moment something has gone wrong. Four things change because of
that, and they change the whole approach.
The result set changes street by street
Nobody with a blocked drain cares who ranks in Sydney. Google builds a different first page depending on where the phone is standing, so the job is winning a map pack and a handful of results inside your service area, not a national leaderboard.
Half your competition is not a trade business
Directories and lead resellers hold a lot of the first page for trade searches. They are not tradies, they are middlemen selling your enquiry to three of your competitors. Beating them means being more specific about the job and the suburb than a directory ever bothers to be.
The searcher is often mid-problem
A large share of trade searches happen with water on the floor, no power in the house or a job that has to happen today. That person does not read a 2,000 word article. The page has to answer, prove and hand over a phone number fast.
Low volume, high value
A trade keyword doing a couple of hundred searches a month looks tiny next to an ecommerce term. One of those searches can be a hot water system replacement or a full rewire. Chasing traffic volume is the wrong game; chasing buying intent is the right one.
// THE SCOPE
What the $3,500 SEO project includes
PriceFrom $3,500
StructureOne-off project
Typical lengthAbout six weeks
Ongoing feeNone attached
Keyword and SERP research
What people in your area actually type, what already ranks for it, and which of those searches are winnable rather than just flattering. You get the list before anything gets built.
Site architecture and page plan
A page for each service you want to be found for, mapped so the pages support each other instead of competing. We also decide what gets rewritten, merged or removed.
On-page build and copy
Titles, headings, body copy, schema and internal links written for the search and for the person reading it. Built on the site, not bolted on as a plugin setting.
Technical fixes
Speed, mobile layout, indexing, crawl errors and structured data. The unglamorous work that stops good pages from ranking at all.
Google Business Profile and the map pack
Categories, services, service area, photos and the review path, set up properly. For most trades the map pack is worth more than the blue links above it.
Tracking and a written handover
Search Console, analytics and conversion tracking wired up in your accounts, plus a written record of everything done and a plain list of what to do next.
// THE PROCESS
Five stages, about six weeks, then it is done
You know at every stage what has been finished and what is next. A bigger
plan with more services or more locations takes longer, and we tell you
that up front rather than quietly stretching it out.
01
Audit and research
Week one. We pull what you rank for now, what your competitors rank for, and where the site is losing visibility. You approve the keyword list.
02
Architecture and plan
Week one to two. We map every page the plan calls for, what gets built new, what gets rewritten, what gets merged. You sign off before a word is written.
03
Build and write
Week two to five. Pages get built and written, technical fixes go in, schema and internal links go on, everything gets checked on a phone.
04
Local and profile work
Week five to six. Google Business Profile, service area, categories, the review path and the citations that back up your name, address and number.
05
Handover and close
Week six. Tracking confirmed, a written record of what was done, and a plain list of what to keep doing. The project is finished and you own all of it.
// AFTER HANDOVER
What happens when the project finishes
This is the part most SEO offers go quiet on, so here it is in plain
terms. The project ends. Here is exactly what you are left holding.
You own everything. The pages, the copy, the schema, the Search Console and analytics setup. It lives on your domain, in your accounts, in your name.
No retainer starts automatically. There is no rolling monthly fee attached to the project, and no auto-renew buried in the paperwork.
Nothing gets held hostage. If you take it in-house or move to another provider, no logins get withheld and nothing gets switched off.
Rankings keep moving after handover. SEO is not a switch you flip. The build gives Google the right pages to rank; the movement happens over months.
If you want ongoing help, it is a separate decision you opt into. Some businesses want us publishing new pages and watching Search Console every month. That gets scoped on its own, never by default.

// PICK YOUR TRADE
Trade-specific and Darwin-specific pages
The search behaviour changes a lot between trades, and again between a
city and a regional service area. These pages go deeper on the version
that applies to you.
If the site itself is the bottleneck, start with a
conversion website instead
and layer the search work on afterwards. Every price we quote sits on the
one ladder, and you can see the whole thing on our
pricing page before you talk to us.
// QUESTIONS
Straight answers before you ask
Still deciding whether search is the right spend for your business right now? Ask us directly and we'll tell you honestly, even when the answer is not yet.
Our SEO projects start at $3,500. That is a one-off price for a defined scope, not a monthly retainer. The exact number moves with how many services and locations the plan calls for, and you get that figure in writing before any work starts.
Is this a monthly retainer?
No. It is a project with a start, a scope and an end. Around six weeks from go-ahead to handover for a typical build. When it is finished you own the work and there is no ongoing fee attached to it. If you later want us publishing new pages or watching Search Console every month, that is scoped separately and you choose it deliberately.
Why is SEO more than your conversion website?
A conversion website starts at $2,800 and is built to turn the visitors you already get into calls. The SEO project is that plus the research, the page architecture, the technical work, the local profile work and the tracking that go into earning those visitors from search in the first place. It is more work, so it costs more.
How long before SEO actually works?
Months, not days. New pages need to be crawled, indexed and then tested by Google against whatever already ranks. Local and map pack movement usually shows first, competitive service terms take longer. We will not promise you a position or a date, because anyone who does is guessing.
Do I need a new website before you can do SEO?
Not always. If your site is fast enough, editable and can take new pages, we work with what you have. If it is slow, locked down or built on something that fights back, a conversion website is the better first spend and the SEO work sits on top of it afterwards. We tell you which one you are before you pay for anything.
Do you guarantee first page rankings?
No, and be careful with anyone who does. Nobody controls Google. What we can commit to is the scope: the pages, the technical work, the local setup and the tracking all get built and handed over, and you can see exactly what was done.
