// TRADIE WEBSITES

Websites for tradies that turn a search into a booked job

Websites for tradies have one job: get the person searching for your trade to call you, book you or ask for a quote. We build them custom, a page per service, for the suburbs you actually cover. One fixed price from $2,800 + GST, hosting included, and the site is yours.

// A REAL TRADIE BUILD

What a tradie website looks like when we build it

Joondalup Electrical is a Perth electrical and air conditioning contractor. The owner has 25 years on the tools, and almost none of the work was findable online. This is the site we built.

  • Moved off a four page WordPress site on a host the owner had no login for. The new build is 46 pages, and he owns the domain and the site.
  • Faults and no-power calls get their own pages with the phone in reach. Switchboard upgrades, air conditioning, EV chargers and rewiring get a page each.
  • Sixteen suburb pages for the corridor the business actually services. Licence, insurance and the workmanship guarantee sit on the page, and the call-out fee is published.
  • Every URL Google already had indexed still answers on the new build, so nothing that was ranking got lost at cutover.

// TRADIE WEBSITE DESIGN

Two kinds of trade work, two kinds of page

Most tradie website design goes wrong in the same place: one layout for every trade. A burst pipe and a new deck are different searches made in different states of mind. We design for the one your work depends on, and most businesses need both.

Urgent work

The phone is the page

Plumbers, electricians, locksmiths, roofers after a storm, drain and gas work.

The visitor has a problem right now and is on a phone. The page leads with the number as a button, the suburbs you cover, your hours and your licence. A quote form is the backup, not the main event.

Quoted work

The page has to earn the enquiry

Builders, landscapers, pools, painters, solar, switchboard upgrades, renovations.

The visitor is comparing two or three businesses over a week. The page leads with your own finished work, how a job runs from quote to handover, and a short form that asks enough to price the job.

Plumbing is the clearest case of urgent work, so it has its own page: websites for plumbers.

// WHAT YOU GET

What every website for a trade business includes

None of this is an add-on. These are the parts a customer checks before they ring a tradie they have never met.

A page per service

Each job you want more of gets its own page, written in the words customers search with. One "Services" page listing everything ranks for nothing in particular.

The suburbs you actually cover

Named service areas, with real pages only where there is real search behind them. No copy-paste suburb pages that Google treats as doorways.

Licence and insurance in view

Your licence number, cover and any guarantee stated plainly, in the footer and on the contact page, where a careful customer looks.

Tap-to-call and a short form

One obvious action per screen. Every form records where the lead came from and which pages they read, so you know what is producing work.

Fast on mobile data

Hand-coded, no theme and no plugin stack. Nothing has to load before your phone number does.

Yours to keep

You own the domain, the site and the copy. Hosting and care are included, and there is no lock-in contract.

Do tradies still need a website at all?

If your work comes from word of mouth, a Google profile or a Facebook page, it is a fair question. For most trade businesses the answer is still yes, for four reasons.

  • Word of mouth has a ceiling. A referred customer looks you up before they ring, and finding nothing, or a dated site, leaks the trust the referral built.
  • A Google Business Profile is a listing, not a home. Keep it, but you cannot fully control how it looks, what it says or who sees it.
  • A Facebook page lives on someone else's platform, where the algorithm decides who sees your posts. A website points every visitor at one thing: getting in touch.
  • Social pages and directory listings are rented and the rules can change overnight. Your website is the one asset online you own outright.

Price ranges for each option are in our tradie website cost guide. Thinking about WordPress? Read WordPress vs custom for tradies.

// PRICE & AFTERWARDS

One fixed price, then we look after it

A single landing page is $1,500 + GST, for a tradie running ads who needs one fast page to send them to. A full website starts from $2,800 + GST, with a page per service, hosting and care included. Not sure the site is the problem? The recorded website and ads audit is $290 + GST. Every option is on our pricing page.

  • Hosted, patched and backed up by us. No separate hosting bill and nobody else to chase.
  • You own the site, the copy and the domain. If you leave, all of it goes with you.
  • No lock-in contract.
  • New service, new suburb, new licence details: we update it.

// HOW WE BUILD IT

How we build websites for tradies

01

Scope the jobs you want

We start with the work you want more of and the area you cover. That decides the pages, not a template.

02

Write the pages

One page per service, in plain words your customers use. You approve the copy before anything is built.

03

Build it, then test it on mobile

Hand-coded and checked at phone size on a throttled connection, with tap-to-call, forms and tracking tested end to end.

04

Launch and look after it

We move the domain across without losing what already ranks, host it, and change it as your services change.

Get in touch
How much does a website for a tradie cost?

A single landing page is $1,500 + GST and a full website for a trade business starts from $2,800 + GST, with hosting and care included. You get one fixed price before work starts. The wider market runs from cheap monthly templates to five-figure agency builds, and our tradie website cost guide breaks that down.

I get all my work from word of mouth. Do I still need a website?

Usually, yes. Being fully booked is the best time to build one, because it lets you pick the better paying jobs instead of taking whatever turns up, and it keeps work coming when things go quiet. It also backs up every referral, since the referred customer looks you up before they call.

How long does a tradie website take to build?

Most builds go live within a few weeks of the first call, and a single landing page is quicker. The biggest variable is content: photos of your work, your service list and approvals. You get a clear launch date up front.

Should I use Wix or a cheap monthly website instead?

If you are brand new and need something live this weekend, a builder is a reasonable start. Check who owns the domain and the site if you stop paying, and whether you can add a page per service. Most tradies outgrow them once they want to rank for specific jobs.

Do I need a separate page for every service and suburb?

A page for every service you want more of, yes. Suburb pages only where there is real search behind them and something specific to say. Thin suburb pages with the name swapped can hurt more than they help.

Can you keep my rankings when you replace my old site?

That is part of the job. Before anything moves we record which pages Google has indexed and what they rank for, then make sure each one still answers or redirects on the new build.

What happens after the site goes live?

We host it, keep it fast and secure, and update it as your services or area change. You own the site, the copy and the domain, and there is no lock-in contract. If you ever move on, you take all of it with you.
