Tradify is a well-built, fairly priced job management app that is easiest to recommend to sole traders and small crews, particularly on Android phones, and it is lighter on forms, automation and reporting than the deepest tools in its class.

Around the plans: every tier is month to month with a 14-day free trial, SMS costs 20 cents a message, and an Instant Website add-on runs $19 a month. The add-on gets a basic page live fast; it is not the same job as a site built to rank for your trade and suburb. Check the model against your headcount: a five-person crew on Pro is about $260 a month ex GST before anyone creates a job.

How much is Tradify per month?
Tradify costs $48 to $62 per user per month ex GST, so the monthly bill is the plan price times your headcount. Worked from the published prices above: a sole trader on Lite pays $48 ex GST ($52.80 inc GST). Three people on Pro pay $156 ex GST ($171.60 inc GST). Five people on Plus pay $310 ex GST ($341 inc GST). SMS at 20 cents a message and the $19 Instant Website add-on sit on top.
The Tradify free trial
The Tradify free trial runs for 14 days. After that you move to a paid plan month to month: Tradify's pricing page says there are no contracts and you can cancel anytime. The page does not say whether a card is needed to start the trial, so check at sign-up. Use the 14 days to run real jobs from quote to invoice, on the phones your crew actually carries.
Is Tradify legit?
Yes. Tradify is established trade software, founded in New Zealand in 2013 and owned by The Access Group since an acquisition announced on 1 October 2024, with more than 20,000 customers globally at that point, per the deal coverage linked in the pricing section. Searches for "Tradify scam" usually come from the name clash with Tradeify, the US prop-trading platform, which is a different company. Whether Tradify is good for your business is the verdict above; whether it is legit is not in doubt.

- Compliance basics arrive at Pro: health and safety forms and compliance certificates from $52, per the pricing page.
- Easy to live with. Tradies in the threads behind our comparison post describe it as polished and uncomplicated.

Where Tradify falls short
- Lighter on forms, automation and add-ons than ServiceM8. In the threads we compiled, depth was the most common reason for switching away.
- Reporting sits in the $62 Plus plan, so the cheaper tiers run largely blind on job profitability.
- Per-user pricing multiplies with headcount: every seat adds $48 to $62 a month before a single job is created.
- New ownership. The Access Group, a UK group with around 80 acquisitions behind it, announced its acquisition of Tradify on 1 October 2024. Prices have held as at August 2026, but the no-lock-in posture is now the new owner’s call.
One more thing worth pricing before you commit: what it costs to leave again. Tradify exports most of an account as CSV files, but its own help centre puts job notes and files outside those exports and says compliance certificates cannot be exported in bulk, which we work through in what Tradify export data actually covers.

Pick it when
- You are a sole trader or small crew and want quoting and invoicing working this week, not after a setup project.
- Your phones are mixed or Android. Tradify is the rare trade app where Android is not an afterthought.
- You do high job volumes. Unlimited jobs on a flat per-user price suits volume.
Look elsewhere when
- Your work is compliance-heavy and needs deep custom forms, checklists and automation on every job.
- An office admin needs a seat. Per-user pricing bills them; ServiceM8’s per-job model includes unlimited users.
