Tradify export data: what comes out, and what you have to ask for
Most of a Tradify account exports itself, as CSV files, from inside the app. Two things do not. Tradify's help centre states that forms and compliance certificates cannot be exported in bulk. Job notes and files, which Tradify describes as including photos and attachments, are excluded from every one of those CSV exports, and Tradify's answer for a full copy of them is to contact its support team.

What you can export from Tradify yourself
Tradify documents a proper set of CSV exports and puts them all on one help centre page, which it maintains. Every one is a manual run you start, and every one produces a spreadsheet rather than a package of files.
From the Jobs page: filter, tick the jobs you want, then Options and Export Jobs to File. Quotes, invoices, enquiries, purchase orders and bills each have their own export, run from their own page, and the control is not always the same one: the quotes export, for instance, runs from an Export icon rather than the Options menu.
Customers, customer sites, suppliers and supplier price lists each have their own export, and price list items can come out as a CSV of every item.
Timesheets are their own route rather than a column inside the job export, so a full picture of hours worked has to be pulled separately from the job history.
One warning from Tradify's own instructions is easy to skim past. On the jobs export it notes that "if none are selected it will export all jobs in the selected category including ones not on the current page". That is usually the behaviour you want when you are leaving. It is not the behaviour you want when you meant to pull a single month.

What the exports leave behind
None of this is hidden and none of it is a scandal. Tradify states each of these plainly on its own help centre page, which was showing as updated 26 days earlier when we read it on 31 August 2026. The reason to spell them out is that all four land on the same day: the day you decide to leave.
"Forms and Certificates (such as gas safety certificates, electrical certificates, and other compliance documents) cannot be exported in bulk." Tradify adds that each one "needs to be downloaded individually from within the relevant job under the Forms & Certs tab". For a gas fitter or a sparkie with years of certificates behind them, that is the single biggest line item in a switch.

"Job notes and files (like photos and attachments) aren't included in the exports above, which only cover job, quote, and invoice details." You can still get them. Tradify says you can "view and download notes and files individually in each job's Notes and Files tabs", and for the whole lot it says "For a full copy, please contact our support team". So this is a support request, not a dead end.

"Service Reminders cannot be exported in bulk." Tradify points you to the Service Reminders section to view, filter and manage them instead. If recurring maintenance is a real part of your revenue, that list has to be rebuilt by hand on the other side.

"Deleting data in Tradify is permanent and cannot be undone." Tradify pairs its export guidance with its deletion guidance on a single page for exactly this reason, and it recommends "exporting your data regularly using the options above to keep a backup of your information".

How to export appointments and the calendar from Tradify
This is the question that brings most people to this page, and it has a short answer: appointments are not on Tradify's export list at all. The help centre page that documents every export covers jobs, quotes, invoices, enquiries, purchase orders and bills, timesheets, customers, customer sites, suppliers and price lists. The scheduler appears on that page only once, further down, under deleting. There is no documented ICS file, no calendar feed, and no appointments CSV.
Tradify describes it as a "one-way sync connection to bring your personal calendar appointments across to Tradify from Google Calendar", so it pulls your personal diary in to stop you double booking. It does not push your work out. Tradify says so in as many words on a separate page: "Your Tradify appointments don’t sync back to your Google Calendar."

Some people do see Tradify appointments land in Google Calendar and reasonably assume a sync exists. Tradify explains that this is Gmail's Event Creation from Emails feature reading your job notification emails, not an integration. Its own warning is the part that matters: the feature "may not include ALL updates to appointments", and a job moved inside Tradify "is not guaranteed to update your Google Calendar". Do not treat that calendar as a record of anything.

Two exports carry most of what a calendar would have told you. Timesheets are their own export and are the closest thing to a record of who was on what and when. The jobs export carries the job-level dates. Between them you can reconstruct the history, which is what matters if you are leaving or being asked to prove something later. What you cannot reconstruct is next month's bookings, so if you are switching platforms, the forward diary is a manual rebuild and it should be on the plan with a date against it.

The support request, and how to make it count
One sentence on Tradify's help page does the heavy lifting here: "For a full copy, please contact our support team." That sentence is the difference between a history you can keep and a history you have to click through job by job. Treat it as a real step in the switch, with a date on it.
- Ask while the subscription is live. Your login and your support entitlement both end with the subscription, so lodge the request while you can still open the account and check the copy against it.
- Say what you want, in writing. Job notes and files across the full date range, not a sample. Naming the earliest job number and the latest removes the ambiguity.
- Ask what you will get and in what shape. The format, the delivery method, whether filenames carry the job number, and how long the download link stays alive.
- Ask for a timeframe, then diarise it. A copy that arrives after you have cancelled is worth less than one that arrives while you can still check it.
- Check the copy against your job count before you cancel anything. Open a handful of jobs you remember and confirm the files for those jobs are actually in there.

The routine before you switch or cancel
Plenty of trade businesses run this themselves over a couple of evenings and never need anyone's help. The order matters more than the effort.
- Run every CSV export first. Jobs, quotes, invoices, enquiries, purchase orders and bills, timesheets, customers, customer sites, suppliers and price lists. This is the fast part.
- Lodge the support request for the full copy of job notes and files. It has a queue in front of it, so it goes early rather than last.
- Work through the certificates job by job. Under each job's Forms and Certs tab. Do the trades-regulated ones first, because those are the documents you may be required to produce years later.
- Rebuild the service reminder list by hand. Filter the Service Reminders section and copy it out yourself, because there is no bulk export to lean on.
- Copy out the forward diary the same way. Appointments are not exportable either, so screenshot or retype the scheduler for the weeks ahead before you lose access to it. This is the one that hurts on the Monday after a switch.
- File the lot in storage the business owns, such as a Google Drive on your own domain, then check a sample of jobs against the originals before you cancel a thing.

When it is worth handing the job over
If the routine above covers you, run it and keep your money. Handing it over is worth it when the certificate pile is measured in years rather than months, when the switch has a hard date on it, or when the person who would otherwise do the clicking is the person quoting work. For the whole history, Tradify’s help centre says to contact its support team for a full copy. Make that request while your subscription is still live, not after you have closed the account.
How do I export appointments from Tradify?
You cannot, at least not as an export. Appointments are not on Tradify’s list of exportable data, which covers jobs, quotes, invoices, enquiries, purchase orders and bills, timesheets, customers, customer sites, suppliers and price lists. The nearest records you can pull yourself are the timesheet exports, which show who worked on what and when, and the jobs export, which carries the job-level dates. The forward diary has to be rebuilt by hand on the other side.
Can I export my Tradify calendar to an ICS file or sync it to Google Calendar?
There is no documented ICS export or calendar feed in Tradify, and the Google Calendar integration runs the other way. Tradify describes it as a one-way sync that brings your personal Google Calendar appointments into Tradify’s scheduler so you do not double book yourself, and states plainly that your Tradify appointments do not sync back to your Google Calendar. If you can see Tradify jobs in Google Calendar anyway, that is Gmail creating events from your notification emails, and Tradify warns that it may not pick up changes made to an appointment inside Tradify.
Can I export my compliance certificates from Tradify in bulk?
No. Tradify states that forms and certificates, naming gas safety certificates, electrical certificates and other compliance documents, cannot be exported in bulk, and that each one needs to be downloaded individually from within the relevant job under the Forms and Certs tab. If you hold years of certificates, cost that time in before you set a switching date.
