// CASE STUDY CONTENT
The jobs you've already done, written up and published
You send the photos and a couple of sentences. We write the job up as a case study, publish it on your website, and post it to your Google Business Profile. $390 + GST a case study, or five for $1,750 + GST.
// IN PLAIN ENGLISH
What you are actually buying
A written account of one job you have finished, published where people can find it. You pick the job, send the photos that are already on your phone, and either type out a few sentences or answer a handful of questions on a call. We do the writing, choose and caption the photos, put it live on your website as its own page, and post it to your Google Business Profile. Ten minutes of your time, one finished piece of proof.
// THE PROBLEM
Every trade has a hard drive full of good jobs and nothing published about any of them
Scroll back through your camera roll. There is the switchboard you rebuilt after someone else's patch job, the leak three plumbers could not find, the roof you got watertight before the wet. Hundreds of photos of work you were proud of, sitting on a phone where nobody will ever see them.
Meanwhile your website says you are reliable, experienced and competitive, the same three words as everyone else in your trade. That is the gap. The most persuasive thing you own is the work itself, and none of it is written down anywhere a customer can read it.
Writing it up is the bit that never happens. Not because it is hard, but because it lands on the one person who is already flat out. So the jobs keep stacking up and none of them ever earn you anything twice.
// THE FORMAT
This is the format, written for you, about your jobs
To be clear about what is what: our work page is Web Blend's own case studies, jobs we did for our clients. This service is us writing the same kind of page for you, about your jobs, published on your website under your name. Go and read a couple of ours to see the shape of it, the problem, the work, the outcome, then picture the same thing with your switchboard or your slab leak in it.
- Same structure, same plain writing, same level of detail.
- Your site, your name, your customer, your photos. Not ours, and not a template with your logo dropped on it.
- Written from what actually happened on the job, so it holds up when a customer asks you about it.
- Yours to keep. Reuse it in quotes, on socials, in an email, anywhere you like.
// WHAT YOU GET
Everything from the photos to the published page
One price covers the writing, the photo selection, the publishing and the Google post. There is nothing left on your list except picking the job.
The whole job written up
The problem the customer had, what you found when you got there, what you did about it, and how it finished. Written in plain English, in your voice, not ours.
Your photos sorted and captioned
You send what is already on your phone. We pick the shots that tell the story, put them in order, and write a caption for each one so a stranger can follow what they are looking at.
Published on your website
It goes live as its own page on your site, not a social post that scrolls away. Linked from your service pages so people browsing your work actually land on it.
Posted to your Google Business Profile
The same job goes up as a Google post with a photo and a link back to the full write-up, so it shows next to your profile where people are already checking you out.
The real details, named
The suburb, the type of property, the actual fault, the part you replaced. Specifics are what makes a case study believable, and they are what a search engine has something to work with.
About ten minutes of your time
A few sentences typed out, or a short call where we ask the questions. You do not write anything. You do not have to sit down and think about how to word it.
// HOW IT WORKS
Four steps, and you are only in one of them
Pick the job
Something you were happy with and have photos of. A tricky fault, a full rebuild, a job the last bloke walked away from. If you are not sure which, we will look through what you have and choose.
Tell us about it
Send the photos and a couple of sentences, or take a short call and we will ask the questions. This is the only part that needs you.
We write it
We turn it into a proper case study, pick and caption the photos, and send it to you to read before anything goes live. If we have got a detail wrong, you tell us and we fix it.
We publish and post it
It goes live on your website as its own page, gets linked from the service it relates to, and goes up as a post on your Google Business Profile.
// BEFORE WE PUBLISH
Your customer has to be okay with it
If the case study is going to name your customer, show their address, or use photos that identify their home or business, you need their permission first. Ask them before we write it. A text message back saying yes is enough, and most people are happy to say yes when the job went well. Tell us you have it and we will get on with it.
If the answer is no, or you would rather not ask, we write it anonymised. The trade, the type of property, the region, the fault and the fix, with no name, no address, and anything identifying cropped or blurred out of the photos. It still reads as real work, because it is.
We are not making that up to cover ourselves. There is an anonymised case study on our own work page that exists in that form for exactly this reason: the job was worth writing about and the client could not be named. Same rules apply to yours.
// WHY IT IS WORTH DOING
A finished job is proof, and it is also content
Two things happen when a job gets written down. A person deciding who to call has something specific to read instead of the usual claims. And your site gains a page about a real problem in a real suburb, which is the kind of page a search engine and an AI assistant have something to work with, rather than another paragraph saying you are reliable.
- It answers the question a customer is actually asking: have you done this before, on a place like mine.
- It is specific. A named suburb, a named fault, a named fix. Generic service copy cannot compete with that on believability.
- It compounds. Every case study is a page that stays up and keeps being read long after the job was paid for.
- It gives your other marketing something to point at, a quote, an ad, a follow-up email, a Google post.
- It is the raw material for the rest of it. Ongoing SEO and a managed Google Business Profile both run better when there is real work to publish.
What we will not tell you is that a case study lifts your ranking or brings you a set number of visitors. It might do neither on its own, and anyone quoting you a number for that is guessing. What it definitely does is put your best work somewhere a customer can read it, which is more than a hard drive full of photos does.
// AI ASSISTANTS
Why AI assistants match job write-ups to questions
People tell ChatGPT far more than they type into Google: what the problem looks like, what has already been tried, who lives in the house. A write-up of one real job, with the suburb, the cause and the fix, matches the person whose situation looks like it. Give every heading its own anchor and the assistant can link them to the exact part they need. That is how a Perth plumber’s customer landed straight on the quote section of a page in October 2026, in our Plumbed Right case study. The full method is on our ChatGPT SEO for tradies page.
// PRICING
$390 + GST a case study, or five for $1,750 + GST
One number per case study, agreed before we start. It covers the writing, the photos, publishing it to your website and posting it to your Google Business Profile. No monthly fee, no minimum, and nothing to sign.
One case study
$390 + GST
per case study, one-off
One finished job, written up, published and posted.
- Written from your photos and a few sentences, or a short call
- Photos selected, ordered and captioned
- Published as its own page on your website
- Posted to your Google Business Profile with a link back
- You read it before it goes live
// BETTER VALUE
Five case studies
$1,750 + GST
$350 + GST each
Enough to cover your main services, and cheaper per job.
- Everything in the single case study, five times over
- Planned as a set so they cover different services and suburbs
- One call can cover several jobs at once
- Published over time rather than all in one hit
- The lower rate per case study
Buying five does not mean publishing five at once. We usually space them out so your site keeps picking up new work rather than getting one burst and then nothing, and one call can cover several jobs while you are thinking about them.
// QUESTIONS
Straight answers before you ask
Not sure which of your jobs is worth writing up, or whether you can name the customer? Ask us directly and we'll give you a straight answer, no jargon, no pressure.
Get in touchWhat do I actually have to send you?
Photos of the job and a couple of sentences about what happened. That is it. If typing is not your thing, book a short call instead and we will ask you the questions and take the notes. You do not write anything and you do not have to word it well, that is our job.
Do I need my customer's permission?
Yes, before we name them, show their address, or publish photos that identify their property or their belongings. Get their okay first, a text message is enough, and tell us you have it. It matters more than people expect: a customer who did not agree to being on your website has a fair reason to be annoyed about it.
What if the customer says no, or I never asked?
We write it anonymised. The trade, the type of job, the suburb or region if that is safe, the fault and the fix, with no name, no address, and any identifying detail cropped or blurred out of the photos. It reads perfectly well. We publish our own work that way when we have to, and you can see one on our work page: the WordPress malware job is anonymous because the client could not be named.
How long is each one?
About a page. Long enough to tell the job properly, with the problem, the work and the outcome, and short enough that someone reads the whole thing. We would rather write four honest paragraphs than pad it out to look impressive.
Can you write about old jobs?
Yes. A job from two years ago is still proof you can do the work, and it reads the same to someone deciding whether to call you. All we need is the photos and enough memory of it to answer a few questions. Most trades have years of this sitting on a phone.
What is not included?
We do not come out and photograph the job, we work from what you already have, so a job with no photos is a hard one to publish and you are better off picking another. We do not promise a ranking or a traffic number, nobody honest can. And we cannot publish to a website we cannot get into, so if your site is locked down or built on something we cannot add a page to, we will tell you before you pay rather than after.
Do I have to be on one of your other plans?
No. Case studies work as a standalone job. They do sit well next to ongoing SEO and a managed Google Business Profile, because those are the two places the write-ups get used, but you can buy case studies on their own and nothing else has to change.
// ONE TEAM, EVERY PIECE
Pairs well with the rest
Run it on its own, or stack it with the others so every piece of your marketing pulls in the same direction.
// READY WHEN YOU ARE
Pick one job and we'll write it up
Send us a few photos of something you were proud of. We'll tell you whether it makes a good case study, what we would need from you, and what it costs before you commit to anything.
