Plumbed Right: ChatGPT Leads
// THE BRIEF
What they came to us for
Plumbed Right is a Perth plumbing and drainage business. Web Blend has built and hosted their website, made their video and run their Google Ads for close to three years. The goal has always been a steady flow of booked drainage jobs without the owner, Michael, having to think about marketing. In October 2026 a new source started showing up in their lead emails: ChatGPT.

What happened, and what the site had in place
Five leads from ChatGPT in three weeks
Between 7 and 27 October 2026, Plumbed Right's website received five form leads that the tracking recorded as coming from ChatGPT: four blocked drains and one trenchless pipe repair.
On 27 October, one customer arrived on the link below. ChatGPT didn't send them to the top of the pipe repair page. It sent them to the quote section, because that section has its own anchor, #quote.

A page for each drain and pipe job
Plumbed Right doesn't have one "plumbing services" page. The site has a page each for blocked drains, blocked sewer drains, blocked toilets, tree root blockages, CCTV drain inspections, hydro jet drain cleaning, pipe relining, trenchless pipe repair and drain repairs, plus cost pages and blocked drain pages for the suburbs it serves. The pipe repair page answers one problem: a broken sewer pipe fixed without digging a trench.
A quote section with its own link
The quote section on each service page has its own anchor, #quote. That is what let ChatGPT link a customer to the form rather than the top of the page. The job write-ups go further: every heading in them has its own anchor.
Write-ups of real jobs
Plumbed Right publishes jobs from the van in detail, each about one house, one problem and one fix: grout set hard in the shower pipes of a brand-new Carine home, a Heathridge soakwell filled with concrete under a new fence post, building rubble in a Subiaco drain behind a reflux valve, and a Craigie house where the drainage plan didn't match the pipes.
These were published on 19 October 2026, after the first ChatGPT lead arrived. We are not claiming they caused the October leads. They are there because ChatGPT keeps the context behind a question: the more specific the job written up, the more situations it can match a business to.
Counted, not guessed
Every form on Plumbed Right's site records where the customer first came from. A visit from a ChatGPT link carries utm_source=chatgpt.com, and the tracking keeps that first touch on the enquiry even if the customer comes back later another way. That is why the five leads could be counted at all.
What we can't claim
Why ChatGPT chose Plumbed Right. Its answers change by question, location and day, and it doesn't explain its choices.
Which questions the customers asked ChatGPT. We only see the link they arrived on.
That any one change produced these leads. The site was built over close to three years; the leads arrived in October 2026.
