// APPEAL DENIED
Google Business Profile appeal denied? What still works
A Google Business Profile appeal denied isn’t always the end. Google may run an additional review when you bring evidence you didn’t include the first time, and owners report many appeals coming back to one thing: a verification video filmed at the business. When it does, we run that video the same way every time, on site, on the day, on a phone that is physically there.

// WHERE YOU ARE
Three ways an appeal goes dead
- Denied. “Not approved”, sometimes with the same generic reason as the suspension.
- Approved, still suspended. Owners report the appeal saying approved while the profile still isn’t live.
- Stalled. The denial says a video verification link will follow by email and it never arrives, or the review form opens with no fields.
Each one has a different next step, which is why we start with the notice and your appeal history.
// THE NEXT STEP
What a second review needs that the first one didn’t have
Google’s help on suspended profiles says appeals can only be submitted once. If the appeal is denied, Google may do an additional review, with evidence you didn’t include in the original. New, not the same documents again. Usually that means:
- The mismatch fixed first. The name and address on the profile, website, listings and paperwork all agree.
- Documents that match the profile exactly. Business registration, a licence, tax certificates or utility bills with the same business name and address.
- A clean video if Google asks for one.
// AVOID
Two things that make it worse
- A new profile for the same business. Google says not to, and the reviews stay behind on the original.
- Sending the same evidence again. The additional review is for evidence the first appeal didn’t have.
If the profile sits on an old staffer’s or agency’s account, sort that out at the same time. See when the owner left the company.
// THE VIDEO
When the appeal comes back to a video
We request the video verification and text the owner the link. The owner opens it at the business, on the day, on their own phone, films the four shots in one take and submits it straight away. If a vehicle or sign doesn’t exist, we leave it out rather than stage it.
- The road. Start at the street: the street sign, your letterbox and the house or unit number in frame.
- A vehicle with the business logo on it. Walk around it so the name can be read. Skip this shot if your work vehicle has no logo.
- The door with the business logo, or the sign on the window. Close enough to read the name. Skip it if there is no permanent sign.
- The office desk. Computer on with your business software or email open, and a business document such as an invoice or licence with the numbers covered. Someone can be at the desk, but keep faces out of shot.
Google's rules for the recording
- One unedited, complete recording with no breaks, at least 30 seconds long. Film it as one walk from the road to the desk.
- Recorded live through your Business Profile on your phone, at the business. Google doesn't accept a video recorded earlier and uploaded later.
- The business name on any sign or vehicle has to match the name on the profile.
- No bank, tax or ID numbers, no customer details on screen, and no other people's faces.
Never borrow a vehicle or put up a sign for the camera. Source: Google's video verification help, checked October 2026.

// QUESTIONS
Questions owners ask
Not sure which of these is yours? Ask us and we will give you a straight answer, including when you can fix it yourself.
Ask us to look at my suspensionWhat do I do if my Google Business Profile appeal is denied?
Fix whatever doesn’t match first, then request Google’s additional review with evidence you didn’t include the first time. Google’s help says appeals can only be submitted once, so the additional review is the next step, not a second appeal.
My appeal was approved but the profile is still suspended. Why?
Owners report the appeal status and the live profile don’t always agree. Check the profile itself, then contact Google Business Profile Help with the approved appeal details, which is the route Google gives for problems with a reinstated profile.
Google said a video verification link would be emailed. It never came. What now?
Check every inbox linked to the profile, including old staff or agency accounts. If it truly hasn’t arrived, chase it through Google Business Profile Help rather than lodging anything new.
Should I create a new profile?
No. Google’s help says not to create a new Business Profile for the same business, and you’d leave the reviews on the original behind.
Will I lose my reviews?
Reviews belong to the suspended profile, so reinstating that profile is the only route that can keep them, which is why we never start over. Screenshot your reviews now so you have a record.
Can you guarantee reinstatement?
No. Google decides every appeal. We put the strongest case in front of Google and tell you straight if there isn’t one.
