A button click counted as an enquiry
The conversion fires when someone clicks Submit. If the form then rejects a missing field, or the send quietly fails, the click still counted. Google Ads learns from a lead that never existed.
// CONVERSION TRACKING
A one-off $750 + GST setup on the website you already have. Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversions, the Meta pixel and Conversions API, form tracking, your call tracking hooked in, and a real thank-you page so an enquiry gets counted when it actually happens. Tested by hand, then handed over.
// IN PLAIN ENGLISH
Conversion tracking is the wiring that tells Google and Meta which of their clicks turned into a real enquiry. Someone taps your ad, lands on your site, fills in the form or rings you, and a signal goes back to the platform saying that one worked. Those signals are what the bidding learns from, and they are what every report you look at is built on. When the wiring is wrong, the ads keep running and the reports keep arriving. They are just describing something that did not happen.
// THE PROBLEM
Broken tracking does not throw an error. There is no red light on the dashboard. The conversion count sits there looking perfectly reasonable, and every decision you make for the next six months gets made against it: which campaign to scale, which keyword to cut, whether ads are worth continuing at all.
It usually comes down to something dull. A tag added twice by two different people. A click counted as a submission. Calls left out because they were harder to wire up than forms. None of it is dramatic, and all of it is expensive, because you are paying real money against it every week.
// WHAT GOES WRONG
These are the ones that keep coming up on accounts we look at. All four are fixable, and all four stay invisible until somebody opens the tags and checks.
The conversion fires when someone clicks Submit. If the form then rejects a missing field, or the send quietly fails, the click still counted. Google Ads learns from a lead that never existed.
A tag added by the web developer and a second one added later by whoever ran the ads both fire on the same form. Every lead shows up twice, so cost per lead reads as half of what you are really paying.
The forms are tracked and the calls are not, so the platform only ever learns from the smaller half of your enquiries. For a trade, that is usually the wrong half.
A consent banner or a privacy setting is blocking tags for a share of visitors and nobody has checked which ones. Conversions go missing with no error anywhere, so the numbers look low rather than broken.
// WHAT YOU GET
Six pieces, set up so GA4, Google Ads and Meta all agree on what a lead is and all count it once.
A clean GA4 property with the events that matter marked as key events, so the reports show enquiries instead of pageviews and bounce rate. If GA4 is already there, we fix it rather than start again.
Conversion actions built in the Ads account and tied to the real enquiry, imported from GA4 or fired directly, with one primary action so the bidding has a single thing to chase.
The pixel on the site and the Conversions API sending the same event server-side, with deduplication so one enquiry is counted once. A browser-only pixel loses events to blockers and phone privacy settings.
The event fires when the form is genuinely submitted and the enquiry lands in your inbox, not when someone clicks a button that then failed validation.
If you have a call tracking number, we connect it so a phone enquiry is recorded next to the form ones. For most trades the phone is where the job gets booked, so leaving calls out makes the whole picture wrong.
One container, named properly, with the tags that duplicate or fire on the wrong trigger removed. Most accounts we open have years of half-finished tags in there that nobody wants to touch in case something breaks.
Free session recordings and heatmaps, so when the numbers say people are leaving you can watch what they actually did. It costs nothing to run and it answers the questions a conversion count never will.
Consent mode wired so analytics respects what the visitor chose, without silently dropping the data you are allowed to keep. We set it up correctly; we are not the ones to give you legal advice on what your obligations are.
Enquiries land on their own confirmation page and the conversion fires on that page load. It is the most reliable signal you can give a platform, and it takes a guess out of the system.
// HOW IT WORKS
We go through the site, the tag manager, GA4, the Ads account and the Meta setup, and write down what is firing, what is double firing, and what is not firing at all.
We clear out the tags that duplicate or misfire, build the events properly, add the thank-you page, and wire GA4, Google Ads and Meta to the same definition of an enquiry.
We submit the forms, we make the calls, and we check each event arrives once in every platform. Nothing gets signed off on a preview panel alone.
You get a short written record of what each conversion means, what changed, and which of your old numbers can no longer be compared. Then it is yours, in your accounts.
// THE HONEST BIT
Tracking does not generate enquiries. Nothing on this page will make more people ring you, and we are not going to put a percentage next to it. What it changes is the quality of every decision you make afterwards, because the numbers you are deciding on are finally true.
That matters most if you are spending on ads. The bidding is trained by the conversions you send it, so feeding it button clicks that were never enquiries teaches it to go and find more people who click and do not book. Fix the signal and the same budget starts getting spent on the right things. If you want the ads run as well, that sits inside our Google Ads management, where the tracking is part of the build.
Be ready for the count to drop. If two tags were doubling up, your leads halve the day it is fixed and nothing about the business has changed. We would rather warn you now than have you think we broke something.
// PRICING
$750 + GST, paid once. Not a retainer, not a monthly fee, and nothing that rolls on afterwards. It covers the review, the rebuild of GA4, Google Ads and Meta tracking, the form and call setup, the thank-you page, the consent check, the testing and the written handover.
It is already included when we build the site. A landing page at $1,500 + GST and a conversion website from $2,800 + GST both come with the tracking wired up as part of the build, so there is nothing extra to buy. This $750 + GST exists for people whose site was built by someone else and who just need the measurement sorted on it.
What is not included: ad spend, ad management, and the call tracking number itself. We connect a tracking number you already have, and if you do not have one yet, that is a separate call tracking setup. We also cannot rebuild history. The tracking is right from the day it goes in, not backdated.
If the site itself is the bigger problem, slow, or losing people before they ever reach the form, a website performance audit is the more useful place to start. We will tell you which one you actually need.
// QUESTIONS
Not sure whether your tracking is actually broken? Tell us what you're running and we'll give you a straight read, even if the answer is that it's fine.
Get in touchIt is $750, paid once. That covers the review of what you have now, the rebuild of GA4, Google Ads and Meta tracking, the form and call setup, the thank-you page, the testing and the written handover. There is no retainer attached to it and you are not signing up to ongoing work.
Not on its own, and we would rather say so plainly. Tracking does not create enquiries, it tells you the truth about the ones you already get. What changes is the quality of every decision after it: which campaign to keep, which keyword to cut, which page is doing the work. If you have been spending against numbers that were wrong, that is worth a lot, but it is not the same thing as a lead increase and nobody should sell it to you that way.
No. Conversion tracking is already included when we build a landing page at $1,500 + GST or a website from $2,800, so there is nothing to add. This page is for people whose site was built by someone else and who need the tracking sorted on it.
Once the tracking is right, the numbers usually move, and often they look worse before they look better. If duplicate tags were counting every enquiry twice, your lead count halves overnight even though nothing about the business changed. We tell you which of your old figures cannot be compared to the new ones, so it does not blindside you a month later.
We set the tracking up so it respects the consent choice a visitor makes on your site, and we check the tags behave the way they should in both states rather than assuming it. Australian sites carry privacy obligations around collecting personal information, and how those apply depends on your business, so we are not the ones to give you legal advice on it. What we do is make sure the setup is honest about what it collects and that your consent mechanism actually controls it.
Yes. GA4, Google Ads, the tag manager container and the Meta assets stay in your accounts, in your name. We work inside them rather than building a copy we hold. If we never speak again you keep the lot, and any developer can pick it up from the handover notes.
Usually about a week from go-ahead, sometimes less. Most of that time goes on testing rather than building. If your site sits on a platform that makes tags awkward to place, we tell you up front rather than partway through.
