// SERVICEM8 STORAGE
Is there a ServiceM8 storage limit?
There is no ServiceM8 storage limit. The ServiceM8 pricing page lists data storage as unlimited on every plan, and the tiers are separated by jobs per month and SMS credits, never by gigabytes. The limits worth knowing about are different: how big each file can be, and how your data comes back out.
// THE DOCUMENTED FACTS
What ServiceM8 actually documents about storage
Checked against ServiceM8’s own pricing page and Help Centre on 18 August 2026. If a limit is not listed here, ServiceM8 does not document one.
Data storage: unlimited on every plan
Every plan lists data storage as unlimited. Tiers are separated by jobs per month and SMS credits, never by gigabytes.
SOURCE: servicem8.com pricing pageAttachment size: 50MB per file
Attachments max out at 50MB each, and Camera Roll imports run up to 10 photos or videos at a time. No per-job attachment cap is documented.

Job data is stored redundantly on Amazon S3 across multiple facilities, and ServiceM8 runs its own daily backups.

The limits are on the way out, not the way in
Storage in is unlimited. Getting data back out at scale is where ServiceM8 documents real constraints. Documented behaviour, not criticism; it just matters more than any quota would. If getting the data out is the actual job, our guide to every ServiceM8 export route and its limits works through each one.
Account backup: once every 24 hours, reference only
An account backup can run at most once every 24 hours, and the download is for reference only: it cannot be imported into a new or separate ServiceM8 account.

There is no export-everything button for photos and videos. The third-party Attachment Download add-on zips one job’s files at a time, free for up to 5 attachments per job, with a paid tier for unlimited downloads.

There is no archive feature for jobs; the only archiving the Help Centre covers is materials. ServiceM8’s own advice is to mark jobs Unsuccessful rather than delete them, because deleting a job takes its photos, videos and notes with it.

If you photograph every job, read this bit
ServiceM8 will happily hold ten years of job photos, and it should: they are your warranty evidence, your insurance record and your proof of work. The catch is not where the photos are stored. It is that they are filed one job card at a time, and the only full copy on offer is a once-a-day, reference-only download.
If you want the whole history in an account you own, searchable by job number, that is what our ServiceM8 backup build does: every completed job archived into a Google Drive your business owns, backfilled and then automatic. For everything else we set up around the platform, see the ServiceM8 services hub.
// QUESTIONS
Straight answers before you ask
Wondering whether years of job photos are safe where they are, or how to get a copy you own? Ask us directly and we'll give you a straight answer, no jargon, no pressure.
Get in touchDoes ServiceM8 have a storage limit?
No. ServiceM8’s pricing page lists data storage as unlimited on every plan, checked August 2026. Plans are capped by jobs per month and SMS credits instead.
Is there a ServiceM8 attachment or photo limit?
The documented limit is per file, not per job: 50MB per attachment, with Camera Roll imports of up to 10 photos or videos at a time. ServiceM8 does not document a cap on attachments per job.
Do old jobs get archived or drop off over time?
No. ServiceM8 has no archive feature for jobs. A completed job stays on its job card indefinitely; the only way to remove it is deletion, which also removes its photos, videos and notes.
Can I download everything in one go?
The closest native option is the account backup: once every 24 hours at most, and reference only, so it cannot be imported back into ServiceM8. Photos and videos otherwise come out one job at a time. For a complete, ongoing copy in a Google Drive you own, that is the archive build described above.
