// ACCOUNT RECOVERY

Recover your marketing accounts from an old agency

Recovering marketing accounts from an agency means getting your business back in the owner's seat on the Google Ads, Google Business Profile, domain, Meta, analytics and hosting accounts the agency set up or still controls. Web Blend does it for one fixed fee of $490 + GST. We run Google Ads and GoHighLevel in-house and are a certified ServiceM8 Bronze Partner, so we know how each of these accounts should be owned.

// WHAT WE RECOVER

Seven accounts, back in your business's name

The $490 + GST fee covers all seven. If you only have trouble with two of them, we still check the other five, because the domain and the email on it usually decide who can recover everything else.

01

Google Ads

A business-owned login with admin access, the old agency manager account unlinked once you are in, and billing confirmed in your name.

02

Google Business Profile

Primary owner on your business Google account, with the agency moved to manager or removed. Where they will not respond, we lodge Google’s ownership request.

03

Domain name and DNS

Registrant details checked against your ABN, registrar login in your name, and the transfer code or registrant change handled with the registrar.

04

Meta Business and ad account

Your business portfolio in control of your Facebook Page, Instagram, ad account and pixel, with the agency as a partner instead of the owner.

05

Google Analytics 4

Admin access to your GA4 property, or the property moved into an account you control when the agency will do it.

06

Search Console

Verified owner on your domain property. Once the domain is yours, this one can be verified through DNS without the agency.

07

Website hosting

A hosting login in your name, or a full backup of the site files and database handed to you, so the site cannot be switched off on you.

// THE SCOPE

What is included, and what we need from you

Included in $490 + GST
  • Access map of all seven account types, showing who owns each one today
  • Written handover request to the old agency, sent on your behalf
  • Platform recovery or ownership requests lodged where the agency does not cooperate
  • Owner or admin access set up on a business email you control
  • Old agency access removed or reduced, only after you confirm
  • Two-factor authentication checked on every recovered account
  • One-page account register you keep, with no passwords written in it
You provide
  • A business email you control, ideally on your own domain
  • Your ABN, and invoices or statements that show you paid for the accounts
  • Any logins you still have, even old or partial ones
  • The old agency’s contact details and your agreement with them, if you have it
  • Quick replies when a platform sends a code to your phone or email

Turnaround: we start within two business days of payment and finish our side within ten business days of receiving what we need. We never ask you to email passwords; you add us as a user, or you share your screen while we work through each account.

// HOW IT RUNS

Polite request first, platform process second

01

Map who holds what

We check each account from the outside and with the logins you have: domain records, hosting, tags on the site, and which emails sit on each account.

02

Ask the agency properly

We send one written handover request listing every account and the exact access needed. Most agencies hand over when the request is clear and specific.

03

Use the platform route where needed

If the agency stalls, we lodge the platform’s own recovery or ownership process for each account and supply the evidence it asks for.

04

Lock it in and hand over

Business email set as owner, two-factor on, old access removed with your OK, and a one-page register of every account and who can reach it.

// THE LIMITS

What we control, and what the platforms decide

When the old agency cooperates, getting access back is routine and quick. When they do not, each platform has its own process. Google decides Business Profile ownership requests and Google Ads support reviews. Meta decides who owns an ad account, and some ad accounts cannot be moved to a new business portfolio at all. The registrar and auDA's rules decide what happens to a .au domain.

We cannot promise an outcome a platform controls, and we will not pretend to. What we do promise: every route that exists gets used, you get the evidence each platform asks for, and where an account cannot be recovered we tell you in writing and set up a clean replacement plan.

Who this is for, and who should not buy it

If you can already sign in and just want to check nothing is missing, the free marketing account ownership checklist covers it.

Worth paying for
  • You have left an agency, or want to, and they set up your accounts under their own logins.
  • Emails to the old agency asking for access have gone unanswered.
  • You can see your ads running and your Google profile live but cannot get in to either.
  • The domain renewal notice goes to someone who no longer works for you.
  • You are about to hire a new agency and want the keys in your hands first.
Do not buy this if
  • Your agency is happy to help and you only need a list. Use the free ownership checklist instead.
  • You are in a payment dispute with the agency. Sort that out first; we do not negotiate contracts or give legal advice.
  • The account is suspended or disabled by the platform. That is a separate job, such as a Google Business Profile reinstatement.
  • The account was hacked by a stranger. That needs a security response, not a handover.
  • You want your ads rebuilt or your website moved to a new host. Those are quoted separately.

// PRICING

Marketing account recovery is $490 + GST

One fixed fee of $490 + GST for all seven account types. No hourly billing, no retainer and no lock-in afterwards. Platform charges such as a domain transfer or renewal are paid by you at cost.

Profile suspended rather than held by an agency? See Google Business Profile suspended. Email stopped after a domain move? See email not working after a domain transfer. Once the accounts are yours, we can run Google Ads or Google Business Profile management with you as the owner and us as a user.

How do I get my Google Ads account back from an agency?

Ask the agency in writing to add a business email you control as an admin user, then to unlink their manager account once you have accepted. If they will not, Google Ads support can review a request, and they will usually want proof you are the business behind the account, such as the billing details. Web Blend handles both routes for a fixed $490 + GST.

Can you guarantee we get every account back?

No, and nobody honest can. When the agency cooperates, recovery is routine. When they do not, Google, Meta and the domain registrar each decide ownership requests under their own rules and timelines. We run every route that exists and give you the evidence each platform asks for, and we tell you plainly when an account cannot be recovered.

What if the old agency owns the Meta ad account?

Meta ad accounts belong to the business portfolio that created them and cannot always be moved to another one. If the agency will not hand over the portfolio or add yours as owner, the practical answer is often a new ad account in your own portfolio, with your Page and pixel moved across. We tell you which case you are in before any work on it starts.

Who legally owns my domain name?

The registrant does. For a .au domain that should be your business, listed by its ABN or ACN. If the agency registered it in their own name, correcting it goes through the registrar and auDA’s rules for .au names. We check the registrant first, because the domain controls your email, your website and your Search Console verification.

How long does marketing account recovery take?

We start within two business days of payment and finish our side within ten business days once you have sent what we need. Accounts the agency hands over are usually done in that window. Platform ownership requests run on the platform’s clock, so we keep following those up until each one is resolved or refused.

What does it cost to get marketing accounts back from an agency?

Web Blend charges $490 + GST as one fixed fee for all seven account types: Google Ads, Google Business Profile, domain, Meta Business and ad account, GA4, Search Console and website hosting. There is no hourly billing. Platform fees such as a domain transfer or renewal are paid by you at cost.
