// AUTOMATION RESCUE + WATCH
Automation monitoring for small business: hear about it before your customer does
Automation monitoring for small business means someone watches your automations for the failures that send no error: a lead flow that goes quiet, review requests that stop, a reporting connection that dies. Web Blend builds and runs automations for trade and service businesses and is a ServiceM8 Bronze Partner. We watch Make and n8n automations, and Zapier with an add-on. $490 + GST to fix and set up, then $49/month + GST.

// THE PROBLEM
The failures that never send an error
Zapier, Make and n8n alert you when a run fails. Many failures never produce a run. A trigger stops sending, a connection expires, a form field gets renamed. Nothing runs, so nothing errors. n8n’s own documentation says its Error Trigger only runs when an automatic workflow errors.
Owners on the Zapier and n8n community forums describe the same thing: no error, just no runs, found days or weeks later when a customer asks why nobody replied.
The success that isn’t
Some steps report success when the job didn’t happen: an email step marked sent with nothing in the Sent folder, or a branch skipped while the run still shows as completed. Only a check on the outcome, not the run, catches that.
// HOW WE WATCH
Four guards on every automation we watch
Prevention: our own account in your system
Connections run through a dedicated Web Blend user: Web Blend business name, an @webblend.au email, only the rights the automation needs. A staff password change or a deleted user can’t break it. You know it’s there and leave it alone.
Detection: an alert when a flow goes quiet
Error alerts need a run that fails. A trigger that stopped produces no run at all. So an n8n automation watches each flow for silence, for example no form leads in 3 days or no review requests sent, and alerts us.
Fail-safe: a register
Every action is logged to a Google Sheet, such as who was asked for a review. When something fails, the sheet shows exactly who missed out.
Recovery: a replay
A catch-up automation replays each missed action once, or backdates the data, such as conversions to Google Ads, so it catches up.
Built with Make.com, n8n, Zapier, and the GoHighLevel and ServiceM8 APIs.

// PRICING
Automation Rescue + Watch: $490 + GST, then $49/month + GST
$490 + GST to fix what’s broken and set up monitoring, then $49/month + GST to keep it watched. One offer, whether the problem is a Zap, a Make scenario, an n8n workflow or a website form.
Watch covers Make and n8n automations, including ones we didn’t build and self-hosted n8n. Watching Zaps takes more upkeep, because each Zap gets its own heartbeat step and its own check: the Zapier add-on, $29/month + GST per Zapier account. Rather consolidate? We move your Zaps to Make or n8n instead, quoted from $490 + GST.

// FIT
When a tool is enough
-
You only want a ping when a workflow goes quiet and you’ll fix it yourself. A self-serve monitoring tool does that for a monthly fee. -
You run one or two automations and check them every week. -
Your automations run on a platform other than Make, n8n or Zapier.
What a tool won’t do is own the connection, keep the register or replay what was missed. That part is the job. Want a new automation rather than a watch on the ones you have? See business automation.
// QUESTIONS
Questions owners ask
Not sure which of your automations can fail quietly? Tell us what you run and we’ll say.
Ask usWhat is automation monitoring for a small business?
It is checking that your automations still do their job, not just that they haven’t errored. We watch each flow for silence, keep a log of every action, and replay what a failure missed.
Why didn’t Zapier or Make tell me it stopped?
Their alerts fire when a run fails. If the trigger stopped sending or a connection expired, no run happens, so there is nothing to alert on. Zapier also sends no error email when a Zap’s error handler runs.
Do you need my passwords?
No. We set up our own Web Blend user in each system, with only the rights the automation needs. Leave it in place: removing it stops the automations that run through it.
Can you watch automations someone else built?
Yes. Watch covers Make and n8n automations whoever built them, including self-hosted n8n. It starts with the $490 + GST fix, which moves the connections onto our account and sets up the alert and the register. Zaps are covered with the Zapier add-on, $29/month + GST per Zapier account, or we move them to Make or n8n, quoted from $490 + GST.
What happens when an alert fires?
We find the cause, fix it, and replay what was missed from the register, once each. You get a short note of what happened.
How much does automation monitoring cost?
Automation Rescue + Watch is $490 + GST to fix what’s broken and set up monitoring, then $49/month + GST. Watching Zaps adds the Zapier add-on, $29/month + GST per Zapier account.
